From October 19–20, HYS Enterprise together with the social platform Dobroe Delo hold the Aim High Hackathon. IT specialists from Ukraine gathered in Odesa to develop automation solutions to help implement social projects.

Eight teams took part in the Hackaton. They could choose the existing project or pitch their own ideas. Then they had two days to develop a prototype or a working solution. It was tough and challenging competition for our participants but they handled it and presented their social projects. On the last day, judges chose three winners:

• 1st place – ‘ITco’ team. They presented a unique social project for greening the city that enables the urban community to plant trees and alleys.
• 2nd place – ‘Patience and hard work’ team. They worked on a project for orphan homes. It’s an annual project for orphans who can make New Year’s wishes, and citizens fulfil them and prepare presents.
• 3rd place – ‘5 kg’ team. Their project was created to help older people and people with disabilities who have been unable to buy food. It aims to provide them with the necessary goods. 

There were an incredible two days! We want to say many thanks to all participants, and we’re thrilled that so many inspiring people could gather for one goal – helping and improving social projects in our city. Believe in your ideas and bring them to life!
